The preliminary investigation determined a 29-year-old Allendale woman was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee and pulled onto Lake Michigan Drive from the church’s parking lot.

Police say the Jeep pulled into the path of a Ford pickup truck, driven by a 49-year-old Grand Rapids man. The crash caused the Ford to roll, trapping the 39-year-old Grand Rapids woman inside.

A crew with the Allendale Township Fire Department extricated the woman, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Neither driver was injured.

Four children in the Jeep, ages 10 months to 11 years old, were properly restrained and did not have injuries. Two passengers in the Ford, ages 10 years old and 20 years old, were also properly restrained and did not have injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
