47-year-old man murdered in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul

MADURAI: A 47-year-old man was found murdered in a burial ground in Dindigul town on Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as R Manikandan, a native of Sivaganga.
Police said that passersby found a dead body with stab injuries and alerted them. A team from the Dindigul West police station immediately rushed to the spot.
The body was shifted to Dindigul government hospital for an autopsy.
Manikandan left his house on Saturday and did not return. He was found dead with his hands and legs tied. While the police initially did not have any clue on the victim’s identity, they later traced his family members.
The dead man's family members were informed about the incident and asked to identify the body.
Manikandan was employed in a school in Dindigul. He has a son and a daughter.
Based on a complaint a murder case was registered at the Dindigul West Station.
A team was formed to solve the case.
Police said that the motive behind the incident and people involved were not clear yet.
