Cop among five killed in road mishap in UP's Pratapgarh
At least five persons including a constable were killed after the SUV carrying them rammed into a tree near Pipri Khalsa turn under Kandhai police station of Pratapgarh district late on Sunday night. A senior police official said that the incident took place at 11pm when members of a family were returning to Khajurani after attending a marriage ceremony at Kundanpur village.

The deceased identified as Sandeep Yadav (constable), Rahul Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Pappu Yadav and one another, were residents of Khajurani village.
A senior police official said that the incident took place at 11pm when members of a family were returning to Khajurani after attending a marriage ceremony at Kundanpur village.
The deceased constable Sandeep Yadav was posted at Mau district. Bodies have been sent for post mortem.
