Over 4 lakh candidates will appear for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board Examination for 5,805 post in mounted police and fire department which will be held on December 19-20 at 335 centres in 10 districts.

LUCKNOW: Over 4 lakh candidates will appear for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board Examination for 5,805 post in mounted police and fire department which will be held on December 19-20 at 335 centres in 10 districts.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the arrangements on Friday and directed officials to take necessary measures for safe and fair examination.
Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow, is holding examination for recruitment of jail warders (male and female), and constables in mounted police and fireman (only male).

Director general, Police Promotion and Recruitment Board, Raj Kumar Vishwakarma told TOI that there were 3,638 posts of jail warders, 102 of mounted police and 2,065 of firemen.
“The examination will be held at 335 examination centres across 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh which will be attended by over 4 lakh candidates. Adequate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident at the centres. Adequate force will be deployed at all centres during the examination,” he added.
The examination will be held in Agra, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Kanpur Nagar and Varanasi.
Considering the pandemic, Covid-19 protocol will be strictly adhered to.
“Candidates without masks will not be allowed to enter the examination centres. Sanitizer will be provided at all centres,” a senior police official said.
