Police destroy cannabis plantation in Odisha’s Gajapati

Police and excise officials destroyed cannabis plantation in Odisha’s Gajapati district. They have destroyed cannabis plants on about 2,400 acres of land in an ongoing operation. Cannabis plants worth Rs 38 crore approximately have been destroyed. 36 criminal cases have also been registered. Speaking to media, SP of Gajapati, Tapan Kumar Patnaik said, “We have destroyed cannabis plants on about 2,400 acres of land in Gajapati district in an ongoing operation being undertaken from November 17.” “Cannabis plants worth Rs 38 crores approximately have been destroyed and 36 criminal cases have been registered,” SP added.
