The Kaushambi district jail authorities expressed happiness after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday lauded Kaushambi district jail inmates stitching covers to protect cows from the harsh cold during the ongoing winter season.

PRAYAGRAJ: The Kaushambi district jail authorities expressed happiness after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday lauded Kaushambi district jail inmates stitching covers to protect cows from the harsh cold during the ongoing winter season.
"Once the covers are ready, the lot is dispatched to the gaushalas across the state," he added.
He also said that the inmates stitch covers for cows every week and we should encourage and promote such service by people in all walks of life. Jail superintendent of Kaushambi district jail, BS Mukund said, "We have got a new energy after the Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of inmates for stitching covers for cows in his Maan Ki Baat programme."
He further added that it's a moment of pride for all, including inmates and jail authorities.
