SURAT: BJP MP from Bharuch,
Mansukh Vasava, resigned from the party on Tuesday citing personal reasons.
In a letter to CR Paatil, the state BJP president, Vasava said, “I would like to thank the BJP high command and the party for giving me all that I can handle. I have always been loyal to the party.”
“I am a human being and mistakes happen. I have resigned from the party so that my mistake does not harm the party.
I beg that the party forgives me. I will meet the speaker in person during the budget session and resign from the Lok Sabha,” said Vasava in the letter.
Addressing a press conference in Bharuch, Vasava said, “I am serving as the BJP MP for the last six terms. I am not upset with the party or the government. However, I have been suffering from severe pain in my back and I am unable to travel.“
“It is due to my physical condition, I am not able to attend Lok Sabha. Whenver I have raised issues related to tribals, the government always provided the solution," he said.
