IIM Sambalpur’s Foundation stone laid by PM Modi

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the campus of IIM Sambalpur in Odisha. The event was graced by the Odisha governor Ganeshi Lal and state chief minister Naveen Patnaik, Union ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Chandra Sarangi were also present.

After the ceremony, PM Modi said the students of Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) across the nation should work towards turning ‘local’ into ‘global’. He also emphasized that students should focus on ‘brand India’ while ensuring that their vision incorporates the less privileged sections of society.

He also asked students to devote themselves to the development of new Multinational corporations (MNCs) in India. The startups for today can be tomorrow’s MNCs. The startups also need skilled managers and those passing out of these institutions will lead a new way and a new era.
