Tiger cub dies after falling into open well in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district

A tiger cub died after accidentally falling into an open well while chasing a prey in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. A farmer noticed the carcasses of the cub and a wild boar, floating in an abandoned well and he informed the local forest officials. Ramesh Ganawa, Sehore DFO said, ‘Well had no parapet wall. The cub, around one-year-old must have been chasing the prey when it entered the habituated revenue village and fell into the well accidently.’ Since all the body parts of cub were intact and any poisoning, electrocution or a poaching attempt was ruled out. ‘The bodies were disposed of in compliance with NTCA protocols after autopsy,’ said the officer.
