Six suicides reported in Ahmedabad in 3 days

AHMEDABAD: Six incidents of suicide have been reported in the city in three days.
According to police sources, a 30-year-old woman, Ranjan Pamar, killed herself by ingesting pesticide on January 5 at her father’s house in Kathwada, after her husband Arvind Parmar refused to take her along to his native place in Banaskantha. She died during treatment at Civil Hospital on Wednesday night.Nikol police is probing the case.
In another incident, Ketan Pandya, a 26-year-old resident of Sarkhej, hanged himself at his house on Wednesday night.
In Vastral, a 27-year-old woman, Bhavna Vaghela, committed suicide at her house due to unknown reasons on Thursday.
Three suicides took place in the jurisdiction of Vatva police. In Vatva, a 24-year-old woman, Krishna Chauhan, committed suicide by hanging herself by her dupatta on Wednesday night. Also on Wednesday night, a 19-year-old youth, Babluram Ram, hanged himself. In third incident in Vatva, 25-year-old Dwarkesh Rajput, hanged himself on Thursday.
