GREATER NOIDA: In preparation for the second vaccination dry run slated for January 11, a training session was held in the rural areas of Jewar, Dadri and Dankaur on Thursday where about 150 ANMs and facilitators were given training by the district immunisation officer.
The training included steps on how to operate the CoWin-20 app, verify a beneficiary and how to vaccinate.
The district magistrate meanwhile has flagged the network issue related to CoWin-20 app found during the first dry run held on Monday to Lucknow for redressal, where an increase in server capacity of the app may be looked at for the actual vaccination day.
“We conducted a training session at the three blocks of Jewar, Dadri and Dankaur in GB Nagar today in preparation for the second dry run for Covid vaccine to be held on Monday, January 11,” said Dr Deepak Ohri, chief medical officer (CMO), GB Nagar.
Dr Neeraj Tyagi, district immunisation officer in-charge of Covid vaccine process in the district said that about 150 ANMs were given training across the three centres on Thursday. “We began early around 11 am where the ANM who will be the facilitator as well as the vaccinator was shown how to use the CoWin-20 app where 15 dummy beneficiaries’ data will be uploaded for the dry run. They were told how to operate the app and from the list of beneficiaries, how to verify them through their photo ID card. After verification they were trained on how to upload the confirmation tick post vaccinating the beneficiary,” said Dr Tyagi who will conduct a similar training session at the primary health centre (PHC) and community health centre (CHC) in Bisrakh on Friday.
Meanwhile, the network issue faced in operating the CoWin-20 app during the first dry run held on January 5 was flagged by the DM to Lucknow. “I have already apprised the state government on the matter. In all probability server capacity may be ramped up to address the issue from IT support from Lucknow,” said Suhas LY district magistrate GB Nagar.
