First in 7 months: Bengaluru sees zero deaths in 24 hours

For the first time in over seven months, Bengaluru on Sunday reported zero deaths due to Covid-19. The last time the city had reported nil deaths due to the virus was on June 7.

BENGALURU: For the first time in over seven months, Bengaluru on Sunday reported zero deaths due to Covid-19. The last time the city had reported nil deaths due to the virus was on June 7.
Only Mysuru and Tumakuru among the state’s 30 districts reported a death each. The daily Covid-19 case fatality rate stood at less than 1.3%.
Karnataka reported 792 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, of which 453 were from Bengaluru.
The state’s daily positivity rate stood at 0.69% with 1.1 lakh Covid tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
Fourteen districts reported less than 10 Covid cases on Sunday. The state’s active case load stood at 9,649, only 1% of the total cases reported till date.
