Taylor Swift’s latest album Evermore has now been out for a month, and the title and the tunes featured on it have been impacting the Billboard charts for four consecutive frames now. After a month on those highly competitive lists, most tracks and full-lengths would be quickly working their way toward the bottom, or they may be gone entirely. The same can’t be said for Swift, who is still dominating one ranking like few musicians could ever dream of.
This time around, Swift’s tracks fill 13 of the spots on the 25-rung Hot Alternative Songs chart, which ranks the most-consumed “alternative” cuts in the country every week. This isn’t the first time the singer-songwriter has filled at least half of the positions available, but her success is worth highlighting again, as it’s rarely seen on the rock lists.
Up first among the lucky 13 charting songs is “Willow,” which serves as the lead single from Evermore. The track instantly became Swift’s second ruler on the list, and it hasn’t drifted far from the throne since it controlled the tally. Not far behind that No. 4 hit is another top 10, “Champagne Problems,” which dips slightly to No. 9. Last week, she owned three spots inside the top 10, but a pair of spaces is still impressive.
All of the songs featured on Evermore either stay where they ranked last week or fall, while two hits from her previous album Folklore, which preceded Evermore by several months, actually gain ground. Both “Exile” with Bon Iver and “Cardigan” step up one space, despite the fact that they have been performing well for months now. The two singles have now spent 24 weeks on the Hot Alternative Songs chart apiece, or nearly five months.
