Javi Gracia's squad secured a valuable away win and three points against Real Valladolid

Valladolid were defeated at home by Valencia at José Zorrilla on Sunday. Real Valladolid were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match. Valencia are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Following today's result, Real Valladolid and Valencia currently occupy 16th and 13th spots in the league, with 18 points and 19 points respectively after 18 matches.

After a goalless first half, Valencia continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to Carlos Soler opening the scoring in the 76th minute, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
