Dollar Rises Ahead Of U.S. Retail Sales Data

The U.S. retail sales and producer price index for December are due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback rose against its major rivals.

The greenback was worth 1.2124 against the euro, 103.72 against the yen, 0.8884 against the franc and 1.3622 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
