After two rounds of successful dry runs, the district administration has completed all the preparations for the vaccination drive in 9 centers across the district.

MYSURU: The district which witnessed the first Covid-19 cluster outbreak in Karnataka at a pharma facility in Nanjangud is ready for Covid-19 vaccination drive launch.
After two rounds of successful dry runs, the district administration has completed all the preparations for the vaccination drive in 9 centers across the district.
Manoj, 21, a health worker from Nanjangud will be the first to get the vaccine at Nanjangud government hospital vaccination center.

Initially, the vaccination drive will be carried out in 9 centers spread across the district.
860 persons will be vaccinated on day 1 in the district.
"We are happy that an Indian vaccine has been developed in record time and we are administering the same in the first phase today to frontline workers. We hope it will be smooth and there will not be any issues. We are prepared fully," said DC Rohini Sindhuri.
Preparations are also completed for the vaccine administration in neighboring Mandya, Hassan, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, and Chamarajanagar.
"All the preparations are completed," said Chikkamagalur DC Dr Bagadi Gautham.
