Colourful balloons, floral festoons and rangolis set the upbeat jubilant mood at Women's Hospital in Nagpur.
NAGPUR: Dr Sangeeta Balkote, in-charge of Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC) Pachpaoli Shrutika Gruha (Women Hospital), where the vaccination programe in the city would kick-off, said on Saturday that it's time to serve the Covid warriors who had served the nation and humanity so far.
The vaccination is set to kick start after the address of the Prime minister Narendra Modi at the Women Hospital where the colourful balloons, floral festoons and Rangolis have set the upbeat jubilant mood befitting the historical day here.

It would be either Balkote or Dr Deepankar Bhiwgade, zonal medical officer, to get the first jab at the center. Rajni Meshram and Shaila Pusadkar, two most efficient and experienced nurses, are readying to administer the first dose.
Balkote, Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) alumni, would be also the first to receive the vaccine shot at her own centre. She said her centre is geared up for 100 beneficiaries. "A dose of 0.5ml of Covishield vaccine (Serum Institute of India, Pune) would be administered intravenous to each person on the upper deltoid muscle of right or left hand," she said.
"The persons who had received the messages and calls from NMC would be allowed. We would first receive the persons at the waiting lounge. Then, allow only three to land up for registration at Cowin App desk," she said.
Balkote, diploma in gynecology, officer from GMCH, said separate adverse effect following immunization (AEFI) ward has been prepared for holding the beneficiaries for the 30-45 minutes. "We have emergency kits ready. One cardiac ambulance and another have been kept ready," she said.
