The hook which is written and performed by genre-bending artist Mafeni details the dilemma that arises when he finds himself feeling compelled to seek out new romantic pursuits, mindless of the fact that he's already entangled with a lover. At the end of the hook, listeners are let into the artist's resolution on the matter - he abandons trying to figure out things and instead chooses to just jaiye and go with the flow.

TT, like OCTOBER, serves as another testament to the fact that it's only smooth sailing when adé's on the vocals and a Lolu beat. The upcoming artist taps into her reality as she sings from the perspective of a girl who doesn't have time to waste.

Off the upcoming Retour album, Moss and Judo talk about a woman's body. The beat is mid-tempo Afro-pop.

On his new single, Port Harcourt artist and Black Federation signee returns with a lo-fi Afro-pop song with a huge R&B leaning.

The Afro-pop record is a proper lamba that helps Teni to document her current mindstate, which is freedom. To her, the only school of thought is the one that works.

A love song with woozy strings, it sees Phizbarz and Boybreed make solemn promises to a faceless woman. The record is also off Phizbarz new EP, NWA.

Port Harcourt singer, Kotrell records a ballad that describes his wholehearted willingness to submit to love. The sound is Sentimental Ballad and Kotrell's vocals are deeply inspired by Nigerian folk.

This is a two-track EP which documents attraction, love and sex. Nu Baby has an amazing lyric tenor voice type and his music leaning can be heard in his music. Across the two songs that form the EP, his talent shines through - especially on 'Obodo Gidi.'

Lyrically, Mukhy uses this song to eulogize a female character (Julie) who is the center of his world with notes of assurance of a life of luxury and affluence should she agree to share the rest of her life with him.

According to Mukhy, “Julie is about “that girl”. Everyone has that girl in their life who they would give everything for – sometimes it is the person you’re with at the moment, but most times it’s someone who got away. I definitely know who my Julie is and if she shows up on the day of my marriage, I’m leaving my wife for her.”

You know those love filled moments when you stare into each other soul in quiet, preferably while lying in bed? This is one of the songs you play in those moments. Onyinye can sing and the song reveals the modern woman in her. Originally released one year alone, it's catching fire.

With a love song, we close the week. See you next week.
