Gandhi’s dream of Ram Rajya has been realised with Ram Temple: Karnataka CM

UDUPI: Dream of Mahatma Gandhi of a ‘Ram Rajya’ is being realised with the move to construct a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The fact that Sri Vishwaprasanna Thirtha, Pejavar Mutt swami is a trustee of Sri Ram Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra is a testimony to the standing of the Udupi ashta mutts and also a tribute to the resolve shown by Sri Vishvesha Thirtha, late seer of Pejavar mutt to ensuring that a temple for Lord Rama is constructed at Ayodhya.

Paying this glowing tribute to Udupi Ashta Mutt after inaugurating the Vishwapatha at Krishna Temple here on Monday, chief minister B S Yediyurappa said it is heartening that even the common people are contributing their mite for the construction of the temple. The fact that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself kickstarted the work on the temple and the way in which people are responding for the cause of the temple is truly heartening to see, the CM said.
The government has also taken a major step towards preventing illegal slaughter and transportation of cattle. “I have come here after fulfilling an assurance given to people,” the CM said, adding the government has taken up various development works despite being hamstrung by the global pandemic. The CM hoped that with the blessings of the seers of Ashta mutts and blessings of the almighty, the state will see prosperous days ahead and be blessed by nature’s bounty.
Earlier, Vishveshwar Hegde Kageri, speaker of the state assembly flagged off a colorful procession from Jodukatte to the Krishna Temple, the very route in which the biennial paryaya procession is undertaken. Sri Eeshapriya Thirtha of Paryaya Adamaru Mutt felicitated people from various strata of society for their contribution to the biennial paryaya with Sri Krishnanugraha award. The temple is in the midst of celebrating the entry into the 500th year of the biennial paryaya system.
