Maharashtra: Nagpur Zoo named after late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray

MUMBAI: Uddhav Thackeray led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government renamed Gorewada international zoo, Nagpur as "Balasaheb Thackeray International Zoological Park, Nagpur".
The special executive officer (SEO) of the state revenue and forest department Siddhesh Savardekar has signed and issued government resolution (GR) in this regard, on Tuesday.
The GR further directed the managing director of the forest development corporation of Maharashtra to initiate the process of renaming the zoo, who is in-charge of the zoo.
