The fact that we have to have 20,000 or more National Guard to protect the inauguration of a kind and gentle man like Joseph Biden and yet none of this was necessary for a vulgar bully like Donald Trump, who won the election with Russian help and not even with the popular vote, is disgusting. And the fact that feces were found in the Capitol on the floor and on some of the doors after the Jan. 6 riot tells me everything I need to know about these deplorable Trump supporters. Shame on all of them.

OK, Joe Biden will shortly be our elected president. Going back to the 1700’s, people and parties have disliked or even hated the one they didn’t vote for. I’m sure that there were many elections where fraud was involved. We must accept and unify as one people to have our country to continue as the United States. Here’s the real problem. Power at last and how to keep it. Complete control of the three branches. Will they think of the people and country, first? Or will their first thoughts be self-preservation to do anything to keep their power? We’ll soon see.

Cheap talk. If the Democrats are serious about defending democracy, perhaps they will introduce constitutional amendments to end systemic gerrymandering in states like Illinois and establish term limits for representatives and senators. Perhaps they will end the hate rhetoric and vitriol that hounded President Trump for five years. Otherwise it will be business as usual. Talk is cheap.

It does not make me happy to report that several times I have written that the White House was being operated like a mafia organization. Now once again, sadly to say, it has proved to be true. Republican Rep. Liz Cheny was brave enough to stand up and denounce President Trump. Now she is being threatened by members of her party and they are asking her to resign. My question is, what are we becoming? It’s very sad to see us reacting like a Third World country. I want my America back.

I really get a kick out of all of these anti-Trump comments. Have they looked at Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and all of these horrid, horrid people who are desperate and evil? You know, guys, this door swings both ways.
