BCCI likely to allow 50 per cent crowd during India vs England series
Fans in India will be back in cricket stadiums to see their favourite superstars for the first time since January 2020 as 50 per cent crowd will be allowed in the upcoming India vs England series.

In a good news for cricket fans across India, Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India is mulling on the thought of of allowing 50 per cent crowd during the upcoming India vs England series.
Fans will be allowed in all the venues (Chennai, Ahmedabad and Pune), however, some state associations might allow 20 or 25 per cent of the total crowd capacity at the their stadiums, Sports Today has learnt.
The last time when fans in India were allowed to witness an international cricket match from stadium was in the January of 2020 when India played an ODI series against Australia.
Ranji Trophy final was played behind closed doors. Also, the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which is making the return of cricket after the Covid-19 forced break is being held without the presence of fans.
Overall, India will be the first major cricketing nation after Australia to allow fans in the stadium.
India's limited-overs series against South Africa was postponed in the final moments in March 2020. The 13th edition of IPL kicked off after almost a six month delay but only after it was taken outside India. The cash-rich league was held in UAE as positive coronavirus cases continued to rise rapidly in India.
