IPL 2021: Kings XI Punjab release Glenn Maxwell and James Neesham among 5 foreign players, retain Chris Gayle
Kings XI Punjab have released five international players including their big buy Glenn Maxwell, who the team had purchased for Rs 10.75 crore in the last auction.

Kings XI Punjab have let go off their star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell after his dismal show in IPL 2020.
The Australia batsman scored just 108 runs in 13 matches at an average of 15 and failed to hit a single six in the tournament. Maxwell was bought for Rs 10.75 crore by the team.

The KL Rahul-led side has also released four other international players, including New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham, Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman, West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell and South African Hardus Viljoen.
