Rapper Kanye West has sued one of the summer interns that his apparel company Yeezy had hired.

The intern, named Ryan Inwards, allegedly violated a non-disclosure agreement that contained a $500,000 liquidated damages provision by posting non-public images on his personal Instagram account. The NDA prohibits signers from "disclosing or disseminating confidential information on social media."

West's lawyers filed the lawsuit against Inwards at the L.A County Superior Court and are seeking an additional $500,000 for punitive damages, as they believe Inwards to have acted with malicious intent.

Neither Kanye nor his representatives have yet made a formal statement about the issue.
