Covid-19 cases under 100 in Vid’s 5 dists, no deaths in 3

Nagpur: Five districts in Nagpur division reported just 81 Covid cases while as many districts of Amravati division posted 180 cases on Wednesday. Nagpur district’s 353 fresh cases accounted for Vidarbha’s second lowest tally 614 of the month. So far, day’s caseload has remained under 900 in Vidarbha. The five districts of Nagpur division also reported only four Covid deaths as compared to seven from Amravati division.No Covid deaths took place in Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Akola and Washim.
Gadchiroli and Washim haven’t recorded a Covid death for three days in a row.
Also, 10 more recoveries than the day’s cases were recorded in the region. However the active cases reached 6750.
The 20 deaths were from Nagpur (9), Bhandara (1), Wardha (3), Amravati (1), Yavatmal (4) and Buldhana (2), taking the toll to 6862.
The 614 new cases included Nagpur (353), Bhandara (16), Wardha (20), Gondia (15), Chandrapur (21), Gadchiroli (9), Akola (33), Amravati (41), Yavatmal (47), Buldhana (52) and Washim (7). This takes the tally to 2,66,568 in Vidarbha.
The 624 recoveries were from Nagpur (310), Bhandara (39), Wardha (25), Gondia (17), Chandrapur (51), Gadchiroli (20), Akola (27), Amravati (52), Yavatmal (53), Buldhana (17) and Washim (13). This took the tally to 2,52,951, leaving 6,750 under treatment.
Gadchiroli: No Covid death has been reported since January 17. The new case count increased by 9 while 20 recoveries were reported. The district now has 96 active cases, while total cases are 9,294. So far, 105 have succumbed to the disease while 9,093 defeated Covid and declared recovered in the district.
Washim: The district did not report a Covid death since last three days. The district reported 7 cases and 13 recoveries. Death toll remains at 152. The new cases took the tally to 6,932, discharged rose to 6,633 while 146 are active.
Buldhana: Two Covid deaths took place while 52 new cases and 17 recoveries were reported. According to official data, the district now has 13,477 cases, 12,912 recoveries, 162 deaths and 396 active cases.
Bhandara: The district reported one Covid death, 16 new cases and 39 recoveries. The district has 257 active cases. Total caseload is 13,034 cases and 12,459 discharged patients. Covid toll is 318.
Gondia: The district didn’t witness any Covid death. It saw 17 recoveries and 15 new cases. Number of patients under treatment are 169. The new positive patients took the tally to 14,053. So far, 181 succumbed, while 13,703 recovered.
Akola: The district reported 33 new cases, 27 recoveries. No Covid death took place. The cases tally climbed to 11,234. So far, 329 people have died here of Covid. With new recoveries, the tally touched 10,300. Still 605 are active.
Chandrapur: In all, 21 new cases were detected, while 51 patients were discharged on Wednesday. With no deaths, the toll remains 383. Cases have climbed to 22,892, while recoveries are 22,292.
Yavatmal: Four deaths took the toll to 425. Out of the 306 reports, 47 were found to be positive. Currently, 394 active positive patients are undergoing treatment in various Covid Care Centres,
Wardha: While three deaths were reported, 20 tested positive and 25 were discharged. The toll reached 297, caseload 9,745 and recoveries 9,166 on Wednesday.
Amravati: While 41 tested positive, one died. The total Covid count is 20,905 and toll 411. Active cases are 347. Wednesday’s recovered cases are 52.
