WEST FARGO -- Tom Kirchoffner's Sheyenne Mustangs boys basketball team is on a definite mission this year after having last season abruptly end.
"Without a doubt it's been our fuel. It's been our motivation for this year to come out and not really take it out on teams, but everyday we're just happy," said Kirchoffner. "We're thankful for the opportunity to be in the gym and to be practicing."
After dropping their opening game against West Fargo, the Mustangs are on a roll. Winning ten straight with an average margin of victory of about 38 points.
A big part of that success comes down low. In 6-foot-9 senior Jah'Heem Leake who is averaging a double-double.
"Really just getting to where my team want me to be and where we want us to be," said Leake. "Just going out and playing with confidence."

Leake, a North Dakota State College of Science commit, is balling. He's scored at least double figures in every game this season and posted a season-high 20 points back on Jan. 9 against Wahpeton.
"The sky is the limit for him and he's just starting to realize that he's got a lot of potential," Kirchoffner said.
The Basketball court isn't the only place where Leake turns heads.
At his height, he's a can't miss target on the gridiron. A star at wide receiver on the Sheyenne football team, it's natural that his size translates to the court.
"I been playing football and basketball my whole life. So, whatever I got it's been there," he said.
Now in his final chapter on the court, Leake is all in. That involves doing even the little things.

"Rebounding, doing the little stuff that it take to win," he said.
Leake is averaging nearly 11 rebounds per game.
