NOIDA: The family of the 14-year-old girl who was found hanging in a residential school in Sector 115 in July last year has moved the Allahabad high court, seeking access to videos and photos of the body being brought down.
Police have already filed a final report in the case. But the girl’s parents have rejected the report and demanded a CBI inquiry into the death, alleging murder.
The girl’s parents had alleged that in July last year, the school authorities had called them up and told them to come soon. When they reached, they were allegedly told that their daughter had died by suicide. The school authorities had then allegedly cremated the body without informing police.
An FIR was lodged against the vice-chancellor of the school and his wife under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence). However, the final report submitted by police stated there was no evidence against the officials.
The girl’s parents had said they had found notes in their daughter’s bag that stated she had been “wronged” in life. However, another note released by the school and purportedly written by the girl said the school authorities were not responsible for her death. According to the police, the handwriting on the both the notes had matched.
Isha Yadav, the lawyer representing the girl’s parents, said they wanted to file an objection to the police report and for that, they needed videos and photographs of the body being brought down. “We have moved an application in the Allahabad high court The hearing is scheduled for January-end,” she added.
Additional DCP (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said the police had filed a final report in court. He said he was unaware of the developments thereafter.
