Wake up to the truth
To the person who believes the truth isn’t being said in the paper: You are either elderly and never get out of the house so you’re safe from the virus, or you’re stuck in front of Fox News TV listening to the conspiracy theories your president is spewing. Your president has destroyed this country like no other in history. He will go down in history as the worst. Even then, you won’t wake up to the truth. Seriously, this buffoon Trump has been impeached twice. People have been leaving his administration left and right from day one, either by choice or being indicted. Wake up. I feel sorry for you and many others who have been conned and brainwashed by this guy.
Doing Satan’s work
Free speech should only be free if it speaks the truth. If lies and falsehoods are spoken or written to the public, there has to be legal consequences and reversed with the truth from the liar. Lies and falsehoods repeated over and over again start to be believed and brainwash what would have been otherwise good citizens. It creates domestic terrorists, chaos and more liars. Especially when it harbors hate and misinformation. The liar does this with an effort to bring evil, gain power, control, cast doubt and violence towards our country, and our Constitution. For President Trump, and others who have lied to this country, you will have to answer to a higher being for all the atrocities, lives lost and the stain you placed on our democracy. For you have succeeded in doing Satan’s work.
Bad bill
So the weasels in the Illinois House pass a horrible police reform bill which eliminates cash bail. Don’t they see that this has caused crime to increase in every place where it has been tried? Why do they think that anything will be different here? We must vote against every representative that voted for this abomination.
Just sad
On Jan. 13, a writer to this column stated that the insurrection was the fault of instigators posing as Trump supporters. This was based on the observation that Trump supporters don’t wear backpacks, or helmets, or carry umbrellas. Josiah Colt, 31, from Boise, Idaho, was the rioter dangling from the balcony of the Senate wearing his backpack and helmet. While live-streaming himself sitting in Mike Pence’s chair, supporters donated over $2,000 to him online. He later realized that he was in big trouble because his picture was all over the media. It isn’t hard to identify his politics because he posted constantly. Donating money to a criminal in the act of a crime? Outrageous. Judging people by their appearance? Just sad.
Our country will not stand
This is to the persons who keep blaming the Democratic Party for everything. The truth is the Republicans are the ones who will not work together with the democrats. They started when Obama became president. Now they want to do the same with Biden. It’s a shame that we as a nation are so divided, when we all are covered by the same blanket. Trump, when he became president, has made it worse. Instead of trying to unite the parties, he has caused more distrust among them and still continues. If we keep it up, our country will not stand.
Don’t let history repeat
In 1923, Hitler and his thugs attempted a coup to take over the government in Munich, Germany. He was tried, convicted and imprisoned. Unfortunately, the ban on his political activity was temporary and we know the rest of that story. Let’s not make the same mistake as the Germans did.
Socialist regime
Big Tech is censoring, de-platforming and eliminating any conservative viewpoints. We have a biased liberal media which is a propaganda arm of the left. Politicians and corporations are publishing enemies lists to keep conservatives from working. A socialist puppet and his communist running mate will soon be inaugurated after a stolen election. Caravans of illegal immigrants are already headed for the border, while we have millions of unemployed citizens. The Chinese and Iran are already salivating about all the money they think that they will get from our new socialist regime. Socialism has taken over without a shot being fired. How did this happen?
Nauseating hypocrisy
First Republicans must explicitly say that the election was legitimately won by Joe Biden, then they can call for “unity.” The hypocrisy is nauseating.
National security threat
So Queen Pelosi impeaches Trump a second time, proving that she has totally demeaned this process. Then she puts the compromised Swalwell back on the Intelligence Committee, which threatens our national security. This woman needs to be removed as speaker of the House immediately.
Minding my own business
This is the nanny calling in to respond to the person that wants me to mind my own business for calling in about the one bar and restaurant that remained open against the regulations to try to quell the coronavirus. Well, the health and welfare of my community is my business. And I was responding to the story of all the other restaurants and bars that are doing their part in trying to quell this terrible disease. It’s totally unfair that this one business thumbs its nose, and tries to stay open, and doesn’t want to go broke and close permanently. Well, neither do any of the others, and it’s unfair and it’s all of our business to report these people that ignore the rules and regulations.
Trump’s fault
So, Trump said that he could kill anyone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. Five people, one of them being a police officer, were killed on Jan. 6. He enticed this insurrection.
Totally worthless
I hope all you liberals are completely satisfied with this total yo-yo we’ve got for a governor in the state of Illinois. Places in this country are thriving, and this guy’s got us locked down. This guy has no idea what he’s doing, crying about taxes. He didn’t get his way after spending millions of his own trying to pass a tax law, and now he’s going to raise the taxes even higher? Why don’t you pay my taxes you liberal jerks? This is unreal. It’s time this guy was ousted as governor of the state of Illinois. He is totally worthless.
