MOORHEAD, Minn. — Junior wrestler Braydon Ortloff and junior women's track and field athlete Anna Steadland have been named the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 10-16.
Ortloff picked up a major decision win at 165 pounds in the Dragon wrestling team's home loss to Upper Iowa on Thursday. The Detroit Lakes native is the lone Dragon to start the season 2-0 and has scored bonus points in both matches.
Steadland had a solid opening meet for the Dragons at the Bison Cup Classic. She finished second in the 60-meter dash in 7.98, beating several Division I competitors, and added a fourth-place finish in the 200 meter dash.
