Constable commits suicide at his house in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 45 year old Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) battalion constable committed suicide at his house in Borabanda due to financial and personal problems on Wednesday night.
The deceased was M Rajeshwar, 45, constable of TSSP battalion in Yousufguda. According to Sanathnagar police, Rajeswar was suspended two months ago for poor attendance due to alcohol addiction.
Subsequently he was staying at home in Rama Rao Nagar, Borabanda with his wife and two children.
For the Sankranti festival, Rajeshwar's wife and children went to their native place in Nagarkurnool district.
At around 9 pm on Wednesday, Rajeshwar called his wife and said that he was not happy with life and wanted to commit suicide. After he disconnected the call, Rajeshwar's wife called their landlord and requested him to check on her husband.
"The house owner along with others went to check. As Rajeshwar did not open the door they peeped from the window and found the constable hanging to the ceiling fan in the hall. In the suicide note he mentioned that he decided to end his life due to debts and asked family members to take of his children," Sanathinagar SI Paidi Naidu said.
Police said that Rajeshwar ended up in debts due to alcohol addiction. A case was registered under section 174 of CrPC.
