LUCKNOW: Practical examinations for UP board class XII students will be held in two phases this year. While the first phase will begin on February 3 and will conclude on February 12, the second phase will begin on February 13 and will conclude on February 22.
According to an order issued by secretary, UP secondary education board, Divyakant Shukla on January 21, schools in districts lying in 10 divisions, including Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Faizabad, Azamgarh, Devipatan and Basti, will participate in the first phase, the second phase will see participation from schools covering districts in remaining eight divisions, including, Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.

For the practical examinations, 50% of the total marks will be awarded by internal examiner, while another 50% will be given by the external examiner. The practical exam for the compulsory subject, ‘Naitik Yog Khel Evam Sharirik Shiksha’ will be held under the supervision of the school principal.
Shukla in his order stated that examinations should be held maintaining the social distancing norms. For ensuring sanctity, the exams will be held under CCTV camera vigil. A recording of the examination proceedings should be with the school principal.
