Nalgonda road mishap: Telangana government announces Rs 3 lakh ex-gratia for victims' families

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Friday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in Thursday's mishap in Nalgonda district.
Energy minister G Jagadish Reddy said on Friday that the well being of the victims' families will also be taken care off by the government.
He said that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed all assistance to the families in performing the last rites of the deceased.

On Thursday, an auto carrying labourers collided head-on with a container near Angadipet area in Nalgonda district.
While 10 people died in the accident, 11 others are undergoing treatment at a hospital. The minister said that two of the injured are critical.
The minister said that all the injured would be provided required medical care.
Among the dead are nine women and one man who was the auto-driver.
While describing the mishap as "unfortunate", the minister said that because of their economic condition, a large number of labourers were travelling in a single auto to reach their workplace.
