Two-year-old boy, sister die as hut catches fire in UP's Lalitpur district

In a horrific incident, a two-year old boy and his thirteen- year- old sister died when their hut caught fire on the intervening night of January 21 and 22 in Lalitpur district. However, their mother and two other sisters had a miraculous escape. The incident has been reported from village Amukhera under Jakhlon police station.

JHANSI: In a horrific incident, a two-year old boy and his thirteen- year- old sister died when their hut caught fire on the intervening night of January 21 and 22 in Lalitpur district. However, their mother and two other sisters had a miraculous escape. The incident has been reported from village Amukhera under Jakhlon police station.
According to reports, Seema (40), a widow and mother of four children, including three daughters, were living in a hut in their farm.
On Thursday night, when the family went to sleep, their hut caught fire from the partially burning coal stove, and led to the unfortunate incident. The state government sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 8 lakh to the family.
