CCTV footage has captured the astonishing moment a driver ploughed into ‘SIX cars’ and demolished a wall trying to get uphill in the snow.

A motorist in a Toyota Yaris could be seen fighting for grip as the vehicle began to slide into a silver Toyota Corolla in Adelaide Street, Brierley Hill, on Sunday, January 24.

The blue hatchback then rolled sideways across the carriageway and ploughed into a resident’s frontwall during the dramatic scene at around 1pm.

And, astonishingly, the driver attempted to turn around and ended up hitting TWO more stationary cars, which caused them to hit more parked motors. You can watch the shocking clip above.

The clip was posted on Spotted: Brierley Hill and local sites and amassed dozens of comments.

“How have they managed that,” one said. “What were they thinking attempting that hill in a CAR?”

Another wrote: “Stay at home! That will teach them.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service told BlackCountryLive none of their teams were called to the dramatic incident.

West Midlands Police has been contacted for a statement but it was not known if officers were needed.

Donate money or a laptop for kids who need them

With schools closed due to Covid-19, thousands of children in Birmingham are in need of laptops to continue their learning.

They are falling behind in their studies through no fault of their own - because they are unable to access lessons being put on by schools.

BirminghamLive is supporting efforts, through the Digital Education Partnership, to raise funds and laptop donations to support pupils and get them learning again.

The footage came after a number of crashes took place as heavy snowfall sparked travel chaos.

A man had to be freed from his Range Rover after it careered into a house on Widney Lane in Solihull.

It was believed he may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash, though it's understood his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

All three emergency services attended the scene, near to the junction of Monkspath Hall Road, after the property was smashed into at around 10.20am.

A dramatic image captured the aftermath - with the car's front end inside the wreckage of a ground floor room.

Police cordoned off the road and firefighters rescued the man from the vehicle. The car was later removed from the house by the tech rescue team at West Midlands Fire Service.

The property was 'made safe' and a structural engineer was asked to attend.
