Redondo schools, city election forums planned

Beach School Board forum

The Redondo Beach Council PTA and the League of Women Voters will host a Zoom forum on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7 a.m. with the eight candidates vying for three open seats. The candidates are Keith Arnold, Jerome Chang, Karen F. Cull, Dan Elder, Kimberlee H. Isaacs, Rachel Silverman Nemeth, Rolf Curtis Strutzenberg, and Margo Trone. No incumbents are seeking reelection. Questions to be asked during the debate must be emailed by Jan. 22 to RBCouncilPTALegislative@gmail.com.

Redondo City debates

Rescue Our Waterfront (ROW) will host a Redondo Beach candidate’s Zoom forum on Thursday, Feb. 4. The forum may be viewed at the Rescue Our Waterfront Facebook page. For more details visit RescueOurWaterFront.com.

Easy Reader, the League of Women Voters and NuVoodoo will host a Zoom debate with candidates for Mayor and City Attorney on Wed., Feb. 10 and for city council candidates in Districts 1,2 and 4 on Thursday, Feb. 11. Both forums will be a 7 p.m.

Candidates for mayor are incumbent Bill Brand, Chris Voisey, Michael Ian Sachs and Shayne Hartman. 

Council candidates for District 1 are incumbent Nils Nehrenheim and Brad Waller. 

Council candidates for District 2 are incumbent Todd Loewenstein, Paul David Moses, and Erika Snow Robinson.

Candidates for district 4 are incumbent John Gran and Zein Obagi, Jr.

City Attorney Michael Webb is being challenged by Harden Sooper. ER
