VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has said that if the elections are held impartially, the democratic system will be respected.
The commissioner, who visited Srikakulam district on Monday to inspect the election arrangements, reviewed the situation with top district officials.
Kumar suggested that due care be taken in identifying sensitive villages.
While recalling his attachment with Srikakulam district, Kumar said that he had served as Srikakulam district collector in 1991 and was happy to come for review in the district where he worked.

The state election commission special officer additional director general of police Sanjay said police personnel should make arrangements without waiting too long.
District collector J Nivas said in the district has 1166 Panchayats where elections would be held. There would be 10,942 election wards. Total 18,87,374 (males - 9,34,250, females - 9,52, 877) voters would excerise votes this time.
