WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Triangle Startup Guide is always growing with new resources for local startups. Whether you’re looking for VC or angel funding, local coworking spaces or free networking events, the Triangle Startup Guide has all the resources you need to take your venture to the next level.

Every week, we add new resources to keep content fresh and relevant. Here’s what we added last week:

New COVID-19 Relief Program

In the COVID-19 Funding, Assistance and Resources section, we added Wake Tech Community College’s new Small Business Rally Fund, which aims to help 17 small businesses in Wake County that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Awards will be granted in $2,000 increments, and applications are due on Feb. 26.

To qualify, you must be an active Small Business Counseling client or LaunchWakeCounty graduate, an independently owned and operated company with 15 or fewer employees, and actively generating revenue before March 1, 2020, with a minimum revenue of $5,000 from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2020.

Agribusiness Investor

In the Venture Capital and Angel Groups section of the guide, we added Triangle-based investment firm Tiverton Advisors, which exclusively focuses on agribusinesses. Equity deals range from $5 million to more than $50 million, focusing on production and processing agribusinesses, including permanent crops, row crops, dairies, poultry, and fruits and vegetables.

Earlier this month, TechWire reported that the firm’s AgriFinance Fund II has climbed to $130.4 million.

More Resources

In the Inspiration, Advice & More Resources section, we added a link to Raleigh Founded’s 2020 Innovators Guide to Raleigh, which is packed with information about the Oak City’s growing startup scene, including a recap of 2020 developments, success stories, plans for what’s to come, and more.

We make weekly additions to the Triangle Startup Guide. As always, if we missed a resource you’d like to add, please feel free to submit it for inclusion. You can email me directly, tweet me @shannoncuthrell or use this contact form.
