Two boys drown in waterbody near Dindigul

MADURAI: Two boys drowned in a waterbody near Kujiliamparai in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as B Kavibarathi, 15, of Kuppimettupatti and his friend K Mathivanan, 15, of Madayappa Nayakkanpatti. The duo were Class X students.
They went for fishing in the Karumparaikulam near Kuppimettupatti on Sunday and decided to have a bath in the waterbody.The boys did not know swimming, and they drowned.
Their parents searched for them vainly on Sunday. On Monday morning, the boys’ clothes were spotted on the banks of the waterbody. Later, they were found dead in the water.
Police registered a case. The bodies were sent for postmortem.
