LUCKNOW: A 15-year-old girl has accused a middle-aged man and three of his aides of raping her in Mankapur police station area of Gonda district on Wednesday. The police have registered the case and started a probe.
Superintendent of police, Gonda, Shailesh Pandey said that an FIR was lodged with Mankapur police station under charges of gang rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act against a 48-year-old man and his three accomplices.
The SP told TOI that the survivor in her FIR has stated that when she was returning home from school on Tuesday, a middle-aged man of the village intercepted her.
Later, he and his three accomplices raped her at knife point. “Later, the victim reached home and narrated the ordeal to her parents who approached the police,” said the officer. The victim was sent for medical examination.
Pandey also said that preliminary investigation has also revealed that there is a dispute between the accused and the victim’s family.
