Two persons have been arrested in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. They were caught by police for possessing elephant tusk on February 26. The forest officials recovered 8 pieces of elephant tusk weighing 44.9 kg from the possession of two persons. While speaking to media, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Baripada, Santosh Joshi said, “We have recovered 8 pieces of elephant tusk weighing 44.9 kg from the possession of two persons. We have seized their bike. Probe is on in this regard.”
