Congress sees spate of resignations from Rahul’s Wayanad
Rahul Gandhi
KOZHIKODE: Rattled by the resignation of four senior functionaries in a week, Congress switched to damage-control mode in Rahul Gandhi’s constituency Wayanad on Thursday even as the state leadership insisted that they were not interested in wooing back those who put power before the party.
Kerala PCC’s working president K Sudhakaran and MP K Muraleedharan, who held talks with district-level leaders to resolve the crisis triggered by the resignations, said all was well and that there would be no further exits.
Those who quit citing leadership failure include ex-PCC secretary M S Viswanathan and Intuc state general secretary P K Anil Kumar.
