The Bills are shoring up their defense in the off-season by signing linebacker Andre Smith.

The team announced Smith signed a new two-year deal on Saturday.

According to sources with ESPN's Ian Rappaport, that deal could total up to $3 million.

Smith played 12 games with the Bills last season after being traded away from the Carolina Panthers.

In that dozen games, the 23-year-old made seven tackles, another for a loss and forced a fumble while playing on special teams.

The UNC alum was drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft.
