Janet Jackson is set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her self-titled 1982 album with a special two-part documentary on A&E and Lifetime in 2022.

The two-night, four-hour documentary, which is tentatively titled JANET, will provide an intimate look at the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's story, bringing out tough moments in her personal as well as professional life. It will include archival footage, some never-before-seen home videos and interviews with celebrities.

The death of her father, the passing away of brother Michael Jackson, her performance with Justin Timberlake during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004, and her motherhood, are all covered in the Ben Hirsh-directed documentary, which is produced by Workerbee for Lifetime and A&E.

The project is co-produced by Associated Entertainment, with Janet and Randy Jackson serving as executive producers.
