UP: 3 youths crushed to death by speeding truck in Badaun
Three men on their way home on a motorcycle were crushed to death by a speeding truck on Moradabad highway in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district late on Sunday.
Bereaved relatives of the deceased wait to collect their bodies outside a mortuary in Badaun district.
BAREILLY: Three men on their way home on a motorcycle were crushed to death by a speeding truck on Moradabad highway in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district late on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Susheel (18), son of Makhkhan Lal, his cousin Mukesh (21) and brother-in-law Shree Om (25) were returning from a pre-wedding function at groom's house.
Police said Makhkhan Lal, a resident of Sambhal district, had fixed his daughter’s wedding in Budaun district.Following the accident, the wedding was postponed, they added.
The driver and helper of the truck managed to flee leaving the vehicle at the spot, police said.
“We have registered an FIR against the driver and impounded the truck. We will soon arrest the accused,” Civil Lines police station SHO Sudhakar Pandey said.
