Maharashtra: 12-year-old dies, 40 suffer food poisoning in Bhandara

A 12-year-old girl died and 40 others were taken ill due to suspected food poisoning in Maharashtra's Bhandara district.​

NAGPUR: A 12-year-old girl died and 40 others were taken ill due to suspected food poisoning in Maharashtra's Bhandara district.
The children had pani puri and noodles at a weekly market on Sunday in Bhendala village. They started suffering from vomiting, fever and abdominal pain on Monday.
A team from the health department has arrived in the village and taking care of the patients.
The deceased has been identified as Rakhi Sati Bawne.

On Tuesday, Rakhi's condition worsened and she died on the way to a hospital.
All those who need treatment are being admitted to rural hospitals for treatment.
