Uttar Pradesh: Kasganj to get country's first green corridor along Ganga

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh will have the country's first green corridor along the Ganga river in Kasganj district under the Namami Gange project.
Kasganj has two green belts which were planted earlier.
The Ganga Van was planted in 2019 while the Bhagirathi Van was planted in 2020.
"There is a land available in between these two patches. Plantation on the available patch of land will start this year," said DFO, Kasganj, Diwaker Kumar Vashisht.
More than one lakh saplinngs will be planted on the 700 hectare patch.
