Unclaimed $50,000 Powerball winning ticket sold in Watford City

One lucky Watford City area resident has kept the monthly winning streak alive in North Dakota with a sizzling five-figure win — and they have yet to claim it.

One lucky Watford City area resident has kept the monthly winning streak alive in North Dakota with a sizzling five-figure win — and they have yet to claim it.

The lucky ticket was sold near Watford City at Farmers Union Oil, located at 501 6th Ave SE. but has not claimed their prize with the Lottery Office. The win was valued at $50,000, but as the player had also purchased the Power Play option making the ticket worth $150,000.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize and all prizes over $599 must be claimed at the North Dakota Lottery office in Bismarck in person. Because the Lottery office is currently closed to the public, the winner(s) will need to contact the ND Lottery by telephone first, to receive special instructions and make arrangements to claim their prize. The ND Lottery can be reached at 701-328-1574.

“North Dakota Powerball players have been rolling in luck this year,” said Randy Miller, director of the North Dakota Lottery. “This is the fourth Powerball winner of $50,000, or more since Jan. 1, 2021.”

The $50,000 Powerball with Power Play ticket for Wednesday night’s draw won by matching four white balls and the Powerball. The winning numbers were 4, 9, 17, 27, 38 and the Powerball was 18. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
