Gujarat on Monday recorded deaths of eight Covid-19 patients, pushing the toll to 4,500.
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat added 2,252 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours ending at 5pm on Monday, taking the state's tally to 3.03 lakh.
The state also recorded deaths of eight Covid-19 patients, pushing the toll to 4,500.
The deaths included three each from Ahmedabad and Surat and one each from Rajkot and Panchmahal.
The new cases included 677 from Surat, 612 from Ahmedabad, 242 from Rajkot, and 236 from Vadodara district.

Health department officials said that Gujarat recorded discharge of 1,731 patients, taking the recovery tally to 2.86 lakh.
The state now has 12,041 active coronavirus patients.
Owing to the Holi festivities, Gujarat did not record any vaccination for Covid-19 during the day.
Gujarat has so far inoculated over 51 lakh people for both first and second doses of the vaccine.
