UP: Man files complaint against neighbours for chopping off his pet dog's genital

In a shocking case of animal cruelty, a man in Kanpur Dehat has accused his neighbour and latter's wife of chopping off genital of his pet dog on Monday. The dog has been rescued with serious wounds and is now recuperating at a veterinary hospital.

KANPUR: In a shocking case of animal cruelty, a man in Kanpur Dehat has accused his neighbour and latter's wife of chopping off genital of his pet dog on Monday. The dog has been rescued with serious wounds and is now recuperating at a veterinary hospital.
The incident occurred in Sujanpur locality under the limits of Rasoolabad police station. A complaint in this regard was made by dog owner Suresh Singh, a resident of Sujanpur.
Suresh's neighbour and latter's wife and one other person had allegedly slashed off the genitals of his pet dog with a sharp-edged weapon.

"Hearing dog's shrieks, we immediately rushed to the spot and after seeing the animal trembling in pain rushed it to a veterinary hospital and later lodged a complaint with local police," said Suresh while talking to reporters.
The Rasoolabad police stated that they have received a complaint from one Suresh and began investigations.
"Following a complaint, an SI has been sent to complainants locality, besides veterinary hospital to verify the incident.
If the charges are found to be true, the culprits would be booked under Section 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act," said inspector Rasoolabad Shashi Bhushan Mishra.
