CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Get out, see the sights, ride ‘Round Town with Rising! Each Tuesday and Thursday we scope out a surprise spot around our city. The latest locale: Denver!
Our first stop is Beatty’s Ford Park right on Lake Norman. The park has playgrounds, walking trails and plenty of open space. It’s also got an ampitheater and a special feature – a splash area for the kids.
Second stop is to check out some golf at The Westport Golf Club. The club bills itself as the Queen City’s best value for golf. You can book online, with tee times open today if you’re looking to hit the links.
Our final stop of the morning is the Rock Springs Nature Preserve. It’s a public park that also has an ampitheater and playground.. but the special feature here is an outdoor classroom and wildlife viewing area. You can even bring your dog – as long as you keep them on a leash.
